Sri Chinmoy's Prayers – 25 November 2005

Last modified March 13, 2006

A reporter once asked Sri Chinmoy why he created so many artistic works. This was right after Sri Chinmoy had painted over 16,000 paintings in 24 hours. In his response, Sri Chinmoy indicated that if you go into a shop, you get joy if there are many items to choose from.

Likewise, Sri Chinmoy’s prayers number in the dozens of thousands, and this makes them more useful to seekers; for someone might need new hope, while another person may need consolation, and yet another one might be yearning for more peace, and so on. All kinds of spiritual moods, realisations, reflections and feelings are conveyed by Sri Chinmoy in his prayer-aphorisms. Each seeker is bound to find the particular one that fulfills his/her need.

Our gratitude to Sri Chinmoy.
