Dear listeners, it is with great joy that we bring you this recording.
Every year, before the holidays, Sri Chinmoy used to offer a message for the new year. Sri Chinmoy felt that each new year came like a new born child, offering us a new life, new inspiration, new aspiration. And to offer this message, he used to give a free concert for the public, where he would recite it.
It was one of the many ways in which Sri Chinmoy sought to serve humanity. Through prayer and meditation, art, music, sport and dedicated service, Sri Chinmoy endeavored to serve and inspire others to lead a better, higher life.
In Sri Chinmoy’s music you will feel a certain purity and innocence, sweetness and light, all playfully offering themselves to your heart. In this sympathetic resonance, in the redolence of the light offered, we discover within ourselves a treasure of inner jewels: infinite peace, light and bliss, for us to enjoy and grow into, and share with others.
We thank you for listening to this wonderful music of the heart.
Here is the New Year’s Message by Sri Chinmoy for the year 2004:
The Year 2004
“At the end of a very long and uncertain
Ignorance-flooded night-road,
The beauty of a new hope
And the ecstasy of a new promise
Shall unmistakably blossom.”
