Sri Chinmoy Offers Weightlifting Prayers
In our weekly meditation, Sri Chinmoy shares with us some of his most recent weightlifting prayers. These are prayers he composes before each different kind of lift in his daily routine.
Sri Chinmoy exercises diligently every day. Usually he lifts weights at least twice a day; morning and evening. He is very disciplined, and this discipline applies to every field of endeavor. Whether it is his prayer and meditation, or practising different musical instruments, or singing, Sri Chinmoy exhibits a regularity rarely found in modern times.
He challenges himself constantly to become better in every field he is involved in. This is what he calls "Self-Transcendence". The basic idea is that we can always be better, that there is no limit to our achievements if we dare to try and have faith.
