"Beauty Came to Me" – Satyajit Saha

Last modified October 17, 2006

Oftentimes I am left wanting to hear more from Satyajit Saha’s Group; so beneficial to my meditation are these performances.

This performance by Satyajit’s Group is special, very special. They start with the song “Beauty Came to Me”:

“Beauty came to me
Like the morning rose.
Duty came to me
Like the morning sun.
Divinity came to me
Like the morning aspiration.”
Sri Chinmoy

Then Satyajit offers a wonderful recitation, a collection of short prayer-poems by Sri Chinmoy, starting with the lines:

“My Supreme, how fortunate I am!
Every morning you cradle my heart
With a Smile of Your Heart’s Beauty….”
-Sri Chinmoy

After Satyajit’s recitation, the group very soulfully sings:

“My Lord Beloved Supreme,
With every breath of my heart
I enter into Your Heart
To love You only in Your own Way.
My Lord Beloved Supreme,
With every breath of my heart
I sit at Your Feet
To need You only in Your own Way.
My Lord Beloved Supreme,
With every breath of my heart
I look at Your Eye
To fulfill You only
In Your own Way.”
-Sri Chinmoy

This performance had all the qualities that Sri Chinmoy’s students look for when they perform in a group: soulfulness, sweetness, oneness, perfection, confidence, and others.

Our gratitude to Satyajit’s Group for this most soulful and illumining offering.
