My Prayerful Salutations to the United Nations – Volume IV

Last modified July 5, 2017

This CD is part of a collection of selected performances from 50 concerts offered by Sri Chinmoy in 1995. These 50 concerts were given in honour of the 50th Anniversary of the United Nations, which was founded in 1945.

Included in this CD are songs by Sri Chinmoy about great spiritual Masters, such as Sri Ramachandra, Sri Chaitanya, Jesus Christ, and Sri Aurobindo.  There are also notable vocal performances of traditional Indian songs, such as Aj Agamanir.

Also, as well as Sri Chinmoy’s traditional instruments, there are recordings using less well known instruments, such as the African Bamboo Harp and the Finnish harp.

Sri Chinmoy offered concerts to honour the United Nations because he felt the United Nations can play an important role in bringing about world peace and world oneness.

The United Nations unmistakably has the soul-peace and the heart-dedication to be the first and foremost instrument of human unification.
