Perfection-Dedication

Last modified April 27, 2016

This album features 17 tracks of Sri Chinmoy singing accompanied with the harmonium. They include some of Sri Chinmoy’s best known songs, such as Hiya pakhi, Ore mor kheya and the last track, a rousing rendition of Ami jabo.

Dear listeners, in this CD we have a treasure-trove of inner beauty, peace, light and love. Sri Chinmoy shares with us some of his favourite Bengali songs. He composed approximately 13,000 Bengali devotional songs and 7,000 English songs. His music is imbued with love for God and for humanity, and with a tenderness and soulfulness which expresses the width and breath of human emotion in its search for the Divine.

We hope you enjoy this soulful offering by Sri Chinmoy as much as we do.

Hiya pakhi translation

O bird of my heart, Fly on, fly on.
Look not behind.
Whatever the world gives
Is meaningless, useless
And utterly false.
