World-Harmony may seem a far-fetched dream to some, but to Sri Chinmoy it is a glowing reality deep inside the heart of each and every human being. The United Nations has a significant inner role to play in the blossoming of this reality.
This harmony-loving dream inside each human being is the universal song of love and oneness. This song of oneness and freedom comes from the inmost recesses of everyone's heart. It is this spiritual goal of the United Nations which Sri Chinmoy serves through his music, the World Harmony Run and other initiatives in the realms of art, literature, sport and humanitarian service.
Music has an important role to play in this unfoldment of the highest aspirations of mankind. After silence, it is music that is able to express and manifest the Highest on Earth. It is, as Aldous Huxley said, "the eloquent expression of the inexpressible".
Spiritual music, in particular, is able to express humanity's inner cry for a higher and deeper life, a life unencumbered by obstacles of disharmony, conflict and strife. Humanity cries for a life of love, oneness and harmony.
We hope that this music will help all Truth seekers and God-lovers to dive deep within, where they will feel the hearts of all human beings, crying together for a higher, more illumining life.
