| Hi, everyone! Rintu is a Sri Chinmoy student from Singapore. I first heard him sing during last year's Christmas Trip. I was greatly impressed by his beautiful rendition of Tagore's songs. Rabindranath Tagore was a great writer, composer and educator. He wrote more than 2,000 songs and won the Nobel Prize for Literature at the begining of the 20th century. Following Sri Chinmoy's encouragement, Rintu has been learning Tagore's songs. He says he knows a few hundred so far. Yesterday, July 4th, 2004, we were treated to a few minutes of Rintu's rendition of Tagore songs. I wanted to share with you all the beauty of his singing. |
