Sardul (Flute) & Mandu (Harp), April 12, 2005

Sardul plays on many different kinds of flutes.
He has a very sweet tone. When he plays,
you can tell that playing the flute
is an integral part of his spiritual practice,
of his inner joy. In this recording,
we hear Sardul perform a few of Sri Chinmoy's melodies,
accompanied by Mandu on the harp. Enjoy!

"Ashar Mita Trishar Pita", performed by Shardul and Mandu

Shardul and Mandu study meditation with Sri Chinmoy. Shardul plays the Celtic flute, and Mandu plays the erhu, the harp and the violin. Together they make very good music. In this recording they offer us a rendition of "Ashar Mita Trishar Pita", a song by Sri Chinmoy. Here is the translation for the song:

"O Friend of my hope,
O Father of my aspiration-thirst,
At Your Feet I shall lose
My days and nights
With my surrender-strength."
