Satyajit Saha is a master at reciting Sri Chinmoy's writings by heart with skill and a very soulful feeling. His group includes also some of the best musicians of our meditation centre, including Premik Russell Tubbs (flute and sax), Saral Opera (trumpet), Voirabh Lewis Kahn (Violin) and Surashri Paradis and Parichayaka Hammerl (Harmonium and Singing).

Satyajit, with no formal training in music, has taught himself how to read and write music, in order to make musical arrangements for his band. He has a keen sense of beauty and voicing in his harmonies, and his arrangements are all well proportioned and balanced.

In short, he has become, by dent of his will, a master arranger. The result is that we benefit greatly by his performances, which are an added help in our efforts to meditate. His performances are truly beautiful and elevating, so it is our pleasure and honor to share them here with you.

We bring you here his performance from September 13, 2006, in which he dramatized a poetic prose essay by Sri Chinmoy, from the book "Everest-Aspiration", titled "The Short Cut, The Shorter Cut, The Shortest Cut". You may find it online at Sri Chinmoy Library All the poetic prose essays are extremely inspiring and insightful into the dynamics and beauty of the inner life.

We are grateful to Satyajit for his soulful offering.
