CKG Oneness Poems ~ Selected for June 24, 2025

29. I long to be one

I long to be one
With the Dust of Your Feet.
I long to be one
With the Smile of Your Eyes.
I long to be one
With the Love of Your Heart.
I long to be one
With the Oars of Your Boat.
I long to be one
With the Glow of Your Promise.
I long to be one
With the Flow of Your Life.
I long to be one
With the Victory of Your Banner.

182. You must teach

Only one body,
You must teach it.

Only one vital,
You must guide it.

Only one mind,
You must perfect it.

Only one heart,
You must use it.

Only one soul,
You must treasure it.

Only one Goal,
You must become it.

Sri Chinmoy, The Dance of Life, part 2, Aum Press, Puerto Rico, 1973

4518. What can oneness do?

What can oneness do?
It can give me satisfaction-delight.
What can oneness do?
It can bring down God’s
Transcendental Smile.

Sri Chinmoy, Ten Thousand Flower-Flames, part 46, Agni Press, 1982

7833. Tomorrow Will Give Me

Yesterday gave me
What it had for me:
Two curiosity-eyes.

Today is giving me
What it has for me:
One sincerity-cry.

Tomorrow will give me
What it will have for me:
The inseparable oneness
Of my perfection-life
And God’s Satisfaction-Heart.

Sri Chinmoy, Ten Thousand Flower-Flames, part 79, Agni Press, 1983

46. Oneness

When I aspire,
I know my oneness-role
With aspiring humanity.
When I serve,
I know my oneness-soul
With smiling Divinity.
When I become gratitude-perfection,
I become the oneness-goal
Of the Divine within
And
The Divine without.

Sri Chinmoy, Dedication-Drops, Agni Press, 1976

36. Oneness

Where is oneness?
On earth?
Impossible!

Where is oneness?
In Heaven?
Impossible!

Where is oneness?
Oneness is there
Where I see
The Face of my Beloved
And
Where I become
The Grace of my Supreme.

Sri Chinmoy, Beauty-Drops, Agni Press, 1975

89. A tree without roots

Life without love
Is a flower
Without fragrance.

Love without oneness
Is a fruit
Without taste.

Oneness without God
Is a tree
Without roots.

Sri Chinmoy, The caged bird and the uncaged bird, Agni Press, 1998

2926. My only needs

Awareness is the only thing
That my mind needs.
Soulfulness is the only thing
That my heart needs.
Oneness — my constant, sleepless,
Inseparable oneness with my Lord Supreme —
Is the only thing that I need.

Sri Chinmoy, Ten Thousand Flower-Flames, part 30, Agni Press, 1982

544. They tell me

A purity-heart tells me
What I can eventually be:
Another God.

A oneness-life tells me
What I have always been:
A self-transcending God.

Ten Thousand Flower-Flames, part 6, Agni Press, 1979

10

1959

Oneness is the perfect expansion
Of our inner reality.
Let our heart’s oneness only increase
To make us feel
That we belong to a universal world-family,
And this world-family
Is a fulfilled Dream of God.

Sri Chinmoy, Twenty-Seven Thousand Aspiration-Plants, part 20, Agni Press, 1983

11

25635

God delights only in one thing:
The inseparable oneness
Of His children.

Sri Chinmoy, Twenty-Seven Thousand Aspiration-Plants, part 257, Agni Press, 1998

5637. Yesterday Eternity came to me

Yesterday Eternity came to me
With its oneness-soul.
Today Infinity has come to me
With its oneness-role.
Tomorrow immortality will come to me
With its oneness-goal.

Sri Chinmoy, Ten Thousand Flower-Flames, part 57, Agni Press, 1983

402. The other day, the other night

I played with Eternity the other day.
Neither Eternity nor I won the game,
Neither Eternity nor I lost the game.

I sang with Infinity the other night.
Indeed, we two are the singers
Of the transcendental Heights.

I danced with Immortality the other day.
At the end we bartered our lives.

I walked with God the other night.
When He felt tired, I carried Him along
On my shoulders.
When I felt tired, He carried me along
Inside His Heart.
