JHALLIKA
Here is a brief description of the group Jhallika:
Jhallika is a musical ensemble that performs devotional songs that are intended to be meditative and create a sense of peace, beauty and light for listeners. Jhallika is dedicated to performing the soul-stirring music of Maestro Sri Chimoy, who believed that soulful music is the language of the heart – transcending cultural and linguistic barriers and opening listeners to their own inner beauty and oneness with fellow beings, fostering a deep sense of unity and oneness.
The group’s name “Jhallika” refers to “bright light”, “lustre” or “splendor” in Sanskrit, to convey the spiritual light that soulful music embodies. In 2016 the group produced an album titled: “A New World of Peace”. The live concert, “A New World of Peace” recorded on 21 September 2025 was offered to mark the United Nations International Day of Peace.
We hope this beautiful offering by Jhallika will elevate and inspire us all to a new world of peace.
