Since then, the group has expanded to include Sri Chinmoy’s students from all over the world, and the goal has expanded to sing all of Sri Chinmoy’s songs, a goal that the group hopes to reach in time for Sri Chinmoy’s birth centenary in 2031.
Sri Chinmoy composed his first song at the age of 14 and was composing songs right up until the day before his passing. In total Sri Chinmoy composed over 23,000 songs during his lifetime. For Sri Chinmoy, these songs came from a spontaneous connection to a deep inner source of peace, and expressed the many different inner experiences a spiritual seeker has on their way to the goal of enlightenment or God-realisation.
This is not the complete set, but a collection.
