In March 1988 Sri Chinmoy completed a peace tour of northern Europe which took him to six countries in seven days. The journey began on March 10th with an organ recital (track No.1) in the “Duomo,” the famous domed church in Florence (Basilica of Saint Mary of the Flower). This was followed by a peace concert that evening in the city. The next evening he offered a peace concert at the Singel Centre in Antwerp, Belgium. Early the following morning, Sri Chinmoy appeared on a Dutch television station, where he was interviewed and filmed lifting his bodyweight with both his left and right hand. He also gave a radio interview.
Next came two organ recitals. The first was at The Church of St. Bravo in Haarlem, Holland, on an organ Mozart had used. The second was at Grote Kerk Church in The Hague. That evening he gave a peace concert at the Congress Building in The Hague. On the 13th, Sri Chinmoy arrived in Denmark for an evening peace concert in Copenhagen, which was filmed by a local television station. The next day he arrived in Oslo, Norway, for an afternoon organ recital at Ullern Church and an evening peace concert at the Oslo Concert Hall. March 16th found him in Reykjavik, Iceland, where he gave an organ recital in the morning at a local church and a peace concert in the evening.
