Performances by Sri Chinmoy’s Students in October 2010

Dear listeners, it is with great joy and pride that we bring you these soulful offerings by Sri Chinmoy’s students, performed on the occasion of his 3rd Mahasamadhi Anniversary, October 11, 2010.

Students travelled from all over the world to join in moments of soulful meditation and music performances, in which they performed their arrangements of Sri Chinmoy’s devotional songs.

Music was one of Sri Chinmoy’s main manifestations. He composed over 20,000 songs, of which 13,000 are in Bengali, his mother tongue. From 1984 to 2007, Sri Chinmoy offered almost 800 free concerts of soulful music. Through these concerts, he aimed to share moments of inner peace, beauty and joy. His songs are full of a wonderful and sweet energy that nurtures that part of us that longs for the expansion of our consciousness.
