Sri Chinmoy Plays the Cello

Seven tracks of Sri Chinmoy playing the cello. On September 27, 1983, Sri Chinmoy gave his first performance on the cello. Since then, it has become one of his favourite instruments, featured in hundreds of his free concerts around the world.

Sri Chinmoy often sings and plays his own melodies on the cello at the same time, almost as one would use a harmonium. Again, in some of his performances, Sri Chinmoy improvises with the cello. The performances presented here are instrumental, and feature some of Sri Chinmoy’s classic Bengali songs, such as Sundara Madhumoy, Usha Bala Elo, and Kata Gan.

I just discovered this 2006 performance of guru playing the Cello in the archives.The Cello is my favorite instrument that guru played. Thank you for all the hard work you have done with gurus music. Your Brother Kamaniya.
