Four Hundred Blue-Green-White-Red Song-Birds, Part 4

Last modified January 11, 2010

Dear listeners, it is with great joy that we bring you “Four Hundred Blue-Green-White-Red Song-Birds, Part 4”.

This is the fourth and last CD of this collect
ion of English-Bengali songs by Sri Chinmoy. In this recording, he sings all these little jewels. Each song is a prayer, a conversation with God, or a spiritual reflection, a contemplation of a spiritual reality in the life of a Truth-seeker and God-lover. Indeed, looking at the English version of each song, all the myriad moods experienced in the journey to the Highest are described.

From the sadness of song #28, “Crying and weeping I roam in my life-desert-land”, to the determination of song #45, “I must dance in the land of light, nowhere else”, the sweetness of devotion in song #40, “At the end of the day, at the end of the night, I must smilingly give myself to You”, and #42, “O Light of my heart, O Light of my heart, I am Your Eternity’s companion”.

Sri Chinmoy sweetly conveys all these states of consciousness of a seeker. And each song is imbued with love and devotion; even the saddest songs express with intense sweetness the sadness of the devotee at not having attained oneness with the object of his love. with the Beloved. Sri Chinmoy conveys to us the sweetness of aspiration, the inner cry. It is a cry based on love, love for the Highest.

We hope you enjoy these spiritual jewels, these songs from the heart and soul of Sri Chinmoy, who dedicated his life to serving humanity’s highest aspirations, and who tried, through his many worldwide initiatives, to unite people in harmony, friendship and oneness.
