Comment on album

This wonderful collection of English songs by Sri Chinmoy is a delight to hear. Sri Chinmoy’s sweetness permeates his voice and brings solace to the heart. This music is excellent for meditation.

In his prayer-poems, Sri Chinmoy identifies with humanity’s inner cry and outer smile, and expresses humanity’s feelings as few others can. There is something for everyone!

#3121 Your Forgiveness-Sun

My Lord, someday perhaps
I shall be able to express
Your Compassion-Light,
But Your Forgiveness-Sun
Will always remain
Far beyond my expression.

Sri Chinmoy, Ten Thousand Flower-Flames, part 33, Agni Press, 1982

One of the main ways in which Sri Chinmoy sought to share the fruits of his prayers and meditations was through music, and specifically through devotional songs. Sri Chinmoy composed almost 7,000 English devotional songs, such as these songs from the Flower-Flames.
