Dogs are well-known as being our best friends. Incredibly faithful and obedient they often display knowledge that goes beyond our way of thinking. In the eyes of a dog we can see an uncomplicated life that lies in instinct and intuition. Cute and cuddly they can offer companionship through our lives and a heart of unparalleled devotion to their master. Sri Chinmoy has related these stories about dogs with a light touch and I hope you find these tales to be not only amusing but also illumining. I’m pleased to be joined by two guests this week: Dinesha Richardson and Daniel Rubin

The Depth Of Gratitude And The Height Of Ingratitude
The Mogul Emperor Akbar wanted to see two creatures: the most ungrateful and the most grateful beings on earth. His Minister Birbal was thrown into a sea of worry and doubt. Who would he choose?

The Prayers Of Ramjan
A poor animal trader returns from the village market unable to sell his donkey, monkey or dog. That night with the stars in their favour the animals pray for a wish that would see the order of things changed considerably.

The Lady And Her Dog
An amusing tale of a lost dog and the attempts of her owner to find him. Their relationship was extremely close, their love very deep, and they had a secret that had always been kept between the two of them. Until Now!
