Tomare Rakhibo

Last modified April 19, 2026

Tomare Rakhibo is an album of soulful music composed by Sri Chinmoy and performed by Mountain-Silence. It also features an arrangement created by the composer, Sri Chinmoy himself, during his 2002 birthday celebrations.

The title of the album is based on the Bengali song – Tomare rakhibo. Originally published in Journey’s Goal, part 5, it is one of Sri Chinmoy’s most sacred songs.

The meaning of the song Tomare rakhibo is

O my Pilot Supreme, in secrecy supreme
I shall keep You in my aspiration-heart.
O my Lord Supreme, with my soulful concern
I shall keep You in my dedication-life.
O my Liberator Supreme,
In my sweetness-dream I shall keep You.
O my Beloved Supreme,
In the tear-flood of my eyes I shall keep You.
