In this recording we hear Sri Chinmoy reading his meditative poetic prose in 12 selections from his book "Everest-Aspiration".
On earth, "Everest" represents the highest peak attainable. In our heart, the highest aspiration is an ever-climbing flame towards the Highest.
Some of these selections, such as "Gifts"and "Prayer-Life and Meditation-Life" are conversations between man and God, expressing a very affectionate and devoted intimacy between the lover and the Beloved. Others are introspective, reflective contemplations of inner truths and processes that every seeker faces on his/her way to perfection.
We are grateful to Sri Chinmoy for this illumining and elevating offering, and we hope that it sparks an upward journey in every seeker's heart.
