Sharanagata Hammerl from Salzburg, Austria, sings “Ashar Age Dibo Tomai“, a song composed by Sri Chinmoy. Sharanagata’s beautiful singing, reminiscent of ancient Gregorian chanting, is accompanied by musical arrangements by his son Parichayaka.

“Dear listeners, this is a track excerpted from Sharanagata’s recent CD, “Prayerfully I take Shelter”.

Words fail me when trying to describe Sharanagata’s singing. It is so true, so vibrant with energy, and coming from such a deep place in his heart, it leaves me speechless. His singing is, in my opinion, of the highest order, both in its musical quality and in its spiritual content. He sings with devotion, with simplicity, and with a beautiful tone! What more can one ask from a singer? In this CD, he offers us a wonderful interpretation of Sri Chinmoy’s songs.

The arrangements by Parichayaka are a great tribute to Sharanagata’s singing. Parichayaka has been able to capture, and even enhance, the beauty and simplicity of Sharanagata’s singing.

Our gratitude to Sharanagata and his family (Parichayaka, Behala, Ghantika, Chahida and Ankurika) for this soulful offering.”
