My Heart-Boat Sails (Flute)

Last modified August 25, 2012

This is the 2nd CD in this collection of 4 CDs by Sri Chinmoy, each featuring a different instrument.

The flute was one of Sri Chinmoy‘s favorite instruments, along with the esraj and the organ. It is perhaps the instrument that has made Sri Chinmoy famous worldwide among seekers and music lovers; it is the one with the most universal appeal.

Sri Chinmoy plays the flute with extreme sweetness, soulfulness and confidence. The music flows from him like a river, unimpeded, unencumbered, free. In this album, after each melody there is a small improvisation by Sri Chinmoy. I always felt these improvisatory passages of Sri Chinmoy’s flute music to be like a call to all Truth-seekers and God-lovers, to come and play the divine role in the Supreme’s Drama, harkening all to enjoy the delight of the Cosmic Game.

This music is extremely conducive to meditation. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do. It is full of inner sweetness, light and delight.
