It is with great joy and pride that we bring you this recording of a performance by Agnikana’s Group in Vasa, Finland, form June 13, 2010.
Here are some notes by Premananda, one of the organizers of the concert:
“As a celebratory concert for the inauguration of Sri Chinmoy’s statue in the city of Vasa, Finland on June 13th 2010, Agnikana’s group gave an incredibly sweet performance of their arrangements of Sri Chinmoy’s songs the same evening.
It is extraordinary how the group has such oneness that they sound like one voice. With striking simplicity, joyfulness, soulfulness and beauty their music washed over the audience like a wave of nectar, leading the listeners to a place of inner peace and tranquility.
The comments from the audience were very positive. Some people were completely blown away, saying how much they were moved for the entire concert.”
I feel in this performance by Agnikana’s Group all the qualities that Sri Chinmoy expected to hear in the instrumental and vocal groups of Sri Chinmoy’s students that performed his music: sweetness, soulfulness, oneness, perfection, confidence, gratitude and cheerfulness. Indeed, it is very easy to meditate while listening to this music; I feel transported to Heaven!
