The Fragrance of a New Dawn

Last modified July 3, 2006

In this performance from June 18, 2003, Sri Chinmoy plays an 88-key synthesizer. For the following three years, this instrument became the last instrument to be played in every one of Sri Chinmoy’s concerts.

This performance starts very, very powerfully, and then moves to a more subtle bell sound, before ending with an organ sound.

As with other instruments in which he improvises, Sri Chinmoy plays very percussively, expressing boundless energy and enthusiasm. However, even when he is playing in this fashion, Sri Chinmoy’s music is flooded with inner poise and peace.
