With the advent of the Christmas season, it seems all the more appropriate to release now this recording, originally published as a cassette.

This collection of songs, composed by Sri Chinmoy and dedicated to the Christ, is a sublime expression of Sri Chinmoy's love for the Christ.

In the CD Harmonia Coeli we find the following notes:

"Mountain-Silence is a female vocal and instrumental ensemble from Switzerland, Germany and Austria, who sing Sri Chinmoy's songs with the accompaniment of violin, cello, harmonium and guitar. They offer their prayerful performances in churches, monasteries and cathedrals throughout Europe, and sing on this album in seven different languages. Included here are songs composed in honor of Pope John Paul II and Mother Theresa, which have been performed for both these world-peace-luminaries."
