Sri Chinmoy’s Mahasamadhi Anniversary, Oct 11 2013 – Part 1

Last modified December 21, 2013

These recordings feature performances by students of Sri Chinmoy from Sri Chinmoy’s 2013 Mahasamadhi anniversary (Oct. 11). The nine tracks feature performances from two groups Ashru Dhara, and Dundhubi – playing the Ehru.

Dear listeners, it is with great joy and pride that we bring you the first part of selected performances by Sri Chinmoy Students, who came to New York on October, 2013, to observe the Anniversary of Sri Chinmoy’s Mahasamadhi.

The soulfulness of these musical offerings is unsurpassed; this soulfulness, like a steady rain, permeates every note played. Sri Chinmoy’s music came from his heart of love for God and for humanity. Many of the songs are actually prayers set to music, or spiritual reflections and realisations, expressed in words and music.

The sweetness in this music can only be felt and never be described; it is, indeed, beyond words. This music takes one to the realm of the spiritual heart, where true love and light reside.
