Two Krishna Stories – Kamalakanta Nieves & Vasko Jovanov

Last modified December 14, 2006

In this recording, Vasko Jovanov and Kamalakanta Nieves dramatize two traditional Indian stories retold by Sri Chinmoy.

The first story, “Kali and Krishna are One”, tells the tale of a conflict between husband and wife. One loves Kali, the other loves Krishna. Only the son’s devotion solves the impasse….

The second story relates the encounter between the sage Utanka and Krishna, who meet at Utanka’s ashram after the famous Kurukshetra battle, where the Pandavas defeated the Kauravas. Krishna has to do something very, very special to avoid being cursed by Utanka….

My gratitude to Vasko for inspiring me to share these stories by dramatizing them.
