Inspiration Sounds 49

Last modified May 20, 2008

We feature two stories this week from the pen of Sri Chinmoy, stories that were told to him as a child growing up in India. The two contrasting stories throw a spotlight on to the eternal wisdom of the sub continent that stands the test of time.

The first entitled ‘Why the Sun Shines in England’ happened at the time of the British rule in India. Although they had conquered the country and taken away its lands, they were unable to change the deep core values that define these simple and loving people.

The last story ‘Dream you have opened my Eyes, but broken my Heart’ serves as a poignant reminder about the power of dreams and the messages they contain.

We hope you enjoy these stories from the heart of the world.
