This recording is very dear to me; it is the first series of songs by Sri Chinmoy which I learned to sing by heart. The songbook “Bela Chale Jai” was released in 1978, and it was sheer delight every day to come home and listen to Sri Chinmoy singing these songs. Even better was to sing along!

These songs are full of inner sweetness. Sri Chinmoy recites the meaning of each song before singing it; what else could one ask for?

This music is very conducive to meditation. We hope you enjoy it. Our gratitude to Sri Chinmoy for this most soulful and illumining offering.
