Inspiration Sounds 55

Last modified July 6, 2008

Hello one and all, and welcome to episode 55 of Inspiration Sounds: Stories from the Heart of the World, from the pen of Sri Chinmoy. As winter settles in here in New Zealand I have selected two stories for this week, perfect by the fire with a hot mug of chai.

I have taken them from the book of collected short stories entitled Amusement I enjoy, Enlightenment I study Part 1. Enjoy!

The Court Jester’s Most Painful Joke
One day a King who enjoyed his court jester very much decided — for a bit of fun — not to laugh at his jokes and appear very sad. Little did he know how true this would prove to become.

In Search of Incomparable Beauty
A gift from his mother’s employer sets a boy on a course to search for God’s Beauty. And what he finds brings tears to his mother’s eyes.
