Vedic Fire: live performance of meditative chants

Last modified May 11, 2015

A soulful live performance by Vedic Fire from Aspiration-Ground in New York, sung with only harmonium for accompaniment. Songs include the ancient Sanskrit chant ‘Saha nav avatu

Dear listeners, today we offer you a soulful performance by Vedic Fire from May 7, 2015.

Vedic Fire is a vocal and instrumental group that sings Sri Chinmoy’s songs in a very soulful and deeply contemplative style. Their interpretations of Sri Chinmoy’s songs are very conducive to meditation – there is no rhythm in the instruments, just the soft chords of a harmonium accompanying the voices. It is almost mantric, so there are no distracting elements as such; it is one of the purest ways of performing Sri Chinmoy’s songs.

We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
